Q&A I have an older version of that plier. When I press, ( the female part ) the pointed cap doesn’t squeeze down all the way, therefore the other part ( male part) doesn’t click. What is the problem? It sounds like you have an older version of the pliers that has since been discontinued. That version likely includes rubber rings that help press down the center prongs of the snap. Over time, the rubber can wear out, which prevents the prongs from seating properly—ultimately making it difficult or impossible for the snap to close securely. The coral cap holder broke.
