Red plastic handle
"I ordered the larger size, which was a bit ungainly for the design (but clearly had plenty of room inside). It was a Christmas gift. The recipient queried, "Is it a picnic basket?, or. . ?" My personal issue with the purchase, was despite being advertised as "wood", the red handle, plus 4 knobs/ buttons, at the base, were plastic. It cheapened it, in addition to lending a less-sturdy, unwieldy aspect. The rest of the basket appeared to be well constructed, although there was a slight twist in the fabric, upper clasp. In the advertised photos it looks classy."
